Please find our objection on the construction of 33 2-3 storey dwellings on the 71 Banyule Road, Rosanna (application reference number P290/2018).
Building 33 two to three storey dwellings will significantly impact on the local environment for the reasons listed as below (not only limited to these reasons):
1. The River Gum Walk is a quiet, beautiful walking trail. It is where local residents enjoy walking every day. Having 33 townhouses nearby will definitely destroy the peaceful and quietness of this lovely walking trail.
2. Cross the road of 71 Banyule Road is the Rosanna Primary School. And the Banyule Road is the main road for high school students walking to and from the Viewbank College every day. Having 33 townhouses located on the 71 Banyule Road will significantly increase the traffic on the Banyule Road, which will bring danger to school kids of both primary school and high school.
3. Having 33 townhouses on the 71 Banyule Road will destroy the local neighbourhood, which is mainly individual houses.
4. As residents in Rosanna/Viewbank area, the most part we love is the green/leafy environment which attacks many birds and animals. Having 33 townhouses in one block of land will considerably change the local environment, and therefore change the main features of Rosanna/Viewbank area.
How will it affect you?
1. We live in 4/87 Banyule Road, Rosanna. Between our house and the 71 Banyule Road is only the River Gum Walk. Constructing 33 townhouses near our house will significantly produce noises and chaos for a considerable long period of time.
2. Our house has a beautiful view on the side. Having 33 2-3 storey townhouses next door will destroy the leafy view which we paid for when we purchased the property 6 years ago.
3. Having the densely populated 33 townhouses next to our current house will significantly decrease the value of our property.
