Amalgamation of 5 lots means this is going to be a MASSIVE development. Further it's going to be 5 stories tall. That's suitable in LIVERPOOL but not in Moorebank. People have a right to privacy in their yards and houses, but nobody in 200m is going to have any privacy. Parking will be horrendous. Property prices in the area will drop 20% overnight. Stop putting developers ahead of people who have worked hard to buy their houses. This kind of development just has to stop !!

The area is built with single homes, this development will not suit the area. Access will be an issue as the number of residents in this development will increase traffic. Parking for a suburban street will be untenable. A similar development near by has caused issues with access, parking, and privacy of surrounding properties. This development is not suited for the area and should not be approved.

How Exciting !!!!

Finally we are going to be living in a vibrant , modernized social HUB....Just like Parra !

It's about time the goverment has shown interest in South West Sydney and increasing the supply of dwellings. Our kids now have the option to live closer to us without having to spend an excess of 1million $$$.

Let's keep up with the times.... We wanna see a new shopping center in the area also.
Moorebank is a beautiful suburb with a marina , golf course and has a different demographic to Liverpool. Just like Rhodes..... bring on the New improved Moorebank !

How gready is Liverpool council. This is a huge development with no improvements to the infrastructure in the area. There is no water pressure as it is, Moorebank shopping centre is overcrowded with no where near enough parking and the streets are too skinny for this type of development. We wont be able to park out the front of our own house. There will be no privacy in our back yard at all. They will look straight in as we are on a corner block. This area was never designed for units. Stop destroying a fantastic suburb with greed. There is a huge over supply of units as it is. This development cannot be allowed.

I believe that improvements to infrastructure need to be taken into consideration before more high occupancy dwellings are built.
The traffic around Moorebank is already horrendous, Holsworthy station couldn’t fit many more cars on a workday and getting a spot at Moorebank shops at any time on any given day is near impossible.
I’m all for improving the area, but not at the residents expense.

Very little planning seems to precede the construction of developments such as these. They are situated in narrow suburban streets with limited access in and out onto the main roads. Local Shopping Centres are already mostly packed to capacity necessitating parking in nearby streets which is also limited. Is consideration given to the bottlenecks and worse, caused when local flooding occurs? Governor Macquarie Drive still slows to a crawl in peak hours despite the recent upgrading (???) of Governor Macquarie Drive at Warwick Farm.

Liverpool council does not care about Moorebank.
The only interest they have shown in this suburb was when they planned to close the library/ community centre around 6yrs ago.
They treat the suburb as a cash cow and treat the rate payers with contempt, hoping the original residents will move away or die off quietly.
They didn't consult us when they rezoned the area & don't care what we have to say about it now.

This development is absolutely ludicrous. Two blocks with 76 apartments. Moorebank is already at bursting point for the infrastructure in the area and they just continue approving more unit application with no work to improve the infrastructure in the area and no consideration given to the residents. I urge as many residents as possible to send an objection letter for this development (email is fine) to lcc@liverpool.nsw.gov.au quoting the DA number being DA-552/2018. Include your name and address so they can acknowledge your letter. We need to tell them how much we are against this and how angry we are. The beautiful peaceful suburb of Moorebank for which we all paid top dollar is now gone. If your not zoned R4 forget trying to sell your house. In 6 weeks I have had 1 person look at mine. Even the agent is dumb founded and says it must be the units stopping people. Properties are definately already devalued.

We definitely need more affordable housing in Moorebank like this development. Its close proximity to shops, schools, transport and the Liverpool hospital.

What on earth is happening to the Moorebank area. It is congested enough, no parking in the local shopping centre day and night.
The traffic on the streets is so congested and now another block of units with 76. We not only have to consider resident parking but visitors as well.
I object to this development.

Christine

Please do NOT approve this development.
Our area is already struggling with increased traffic, and insufficient parking at train stations. Developments such as these invade the privacy of residents in adjoining homes, people who have worked hard to purchase their properties to live in a nice quiet area. The increase in people vs cars owned will make parking in the surrounding streets difficult and create a hazard during school drop off and pick up times.
The local shopping centre's in closest proximity are small, they barely have enough car parking at peak times as it is. The main roads into Moorebank being Nuwarra Road and Moorebank Avenue are at capacity and Newbridge Road is extremely busy and congested during peak hours. Once the Intermodal commences it will be hell living in this area with the increased vehicle and employee traffic,by approving developments such as these you are not helping anyone.
I object to this development on the grounds that it will impact the lifestyle and quality of life of many residents living in the area.

Moorebank cannot handle any more developments of this size without an investment in infrastructure first. I have lived here for almost 40 years and the area is on the verge of being unliveable. Can’t park anywhere, traffic getting in and out is terrible, can’t park at the shops, can’t get into a doctor, can’t park at the train station, can’t get kids into schools....we cannot handle anymore development without resources in place!!!

Daniel

Oh c’mon, enough already with these high rise apartments and affordable living rubbish! This is a quiet street in the suburbs, near a local school that is thriving. All these developments do is devalue land, and allow people in an area they otherwise can’t afford. Historically people have moved out to further suburbs (Preston’s to Camden) looking for properties that are affordable. Will people learn to save live we had to, and good luck when the interest rates rise

Meg

Having grown up in the area it is sad watching the area be destroyed. The area has long been single dwelling houses not high rise.

If this development is approved the local people are about to have their privacy destroyed, the streets will be full of cars and parking extremely difficult. These developments never fully cater for the parking needs of its occupants.

The traffic in the area is very congested at peak times and parking at the local shopping centre is extremely poor. The extra people will only make the issues worse.

Please ensure this development does not go ahead as it will destroy the amenity of the other residence and it is not suitable to the neighbourhood.

No more development of this type, nature, scale in Moorebank. It is a suburb outside a city. Not a city. Moorebank is not designed or coping with existing infrastructure needs. There is next to zero water pressure, the major roads are bottle necked at peak hour, there is a small privately owned shopping centre built on the 60’s that is at maximum capacity, and Holsworthy Train Station is unable to cater for existing suburban needs. When the council invest in significant upgrades to our infrastructure, then the suburb may be ready to negotiate a change in demographics.

This will be way to much for our suburban single story homes I love living in Moorebank but if this is the way they are going we (the ones that enjoy living in smaller towns) are going to be pushed out once again.

Emily Toms

The infrastructure does not support increased population to a small leafy already overcrowded suburb. Get the infrastructure right then look at increasing the population. Do any of these decision makers live or shop in the area?

Wendy

This would NOT be a development that represents the character for our area.
Parking would become chaotic and dangerous. More cars would mean dangers for pedestrians and the large number of children that walk past daily.
I’m also concerned about the overshadowing of the neighbouing homes and the privacy of the surrounding backyards.
There is not sufficient public transport in the area. I work in the city and use the closest train station, Holsworthy and if I am not at the station by 7.30am I am in dangour of not getting a carspace.
All our local schools are already at capacity. Nuwarra Public School has had to get a demountable this year to accommodate the growing surrounding suburbs.
The local shopping centre is ridiculously overcrowded as it is now and I need to circle the carpark several times to find parking or be there at 7.30am. I ask that this development application not be approved.

Kasey Sanderson
Sent to Liverpool City Council

This development should definitely NOT go ahead. There is insufficient infrastructure (and no plans to upgrade or address this) to cope effectively with such a development. On top of this there are other issues such as privacy issues, overshadowing, increased traffic in the street and surrounding streets. You can hardly get through Lucas Avenue now when there are cars parked on either side of the street. Developments like this belong on main roads, near major shopping centres and/or train stations etc. not in local streets like this.
Liverpool Council needs to think of the Moorebank residents. We are the ones who have to live amongst these units and it is not fair. It is not what we bought into when we purchased our homes. It's an absolute disgrace.

Another high rise in Moorebank! The traffic around Moorebank is already horrendous. Liverpool Council have not considered or do not have any plans to put more infrastructure in place. Just one example of how little our infrastructure there is around our area are the roads.
Look at Newbridge Road, Nuwarra Road, the M5, Heathcote Road to name a few that are already over congested.
If this continues the wonderful, peaceful suburb of Moorebank and those areas surrounding it will be gone forever.
Please stop this madness for over development and consider improving our infrastructure before building any more high rise developments.

Coralie Agung

The residents of Moorebank do not want high density dwellings. Liverpool Council can't even get the infrastructure right. Concentrate on that before you start approving rubbish developments like this and stop treating Moorebank like a dumping ground. Keep the High Rise in Liverpool.

Tanya Coert
Sent to Liverpool City Council

I do not approve of too many units in this area as traffic along nuwarra road and brickmakers drive is congested enough now and it also changes the landscape of the area and I do not want it looking like it does along hume highway liverpool. We bought here because it was a fairly quiet residential area and that will change dramatcally and also the local shopping centre is a parking nightmare now.

Janice sadkowski
Sent to Liverpool City Council

Moorebank is already over congested with very little parking at the shopping centre and heavy traffic on the roads. Traffic around the schools is also high and if there are extra units in the area it will only add to an increase of cars in the area and reduce the value of property in Moorebank. I feel sorry for the current residents nearby who will lose their privacy if this development is approved. I am totally opposed to this new development proposal.

Please please please stop. This is to much. I agree with all comments made that this is not suitable for the area.

It is so distressing for everyone in the area. The only people benefiting from this are the developers and the council.

You are causing so much grief. Taking away people's privacy, devaluing their homes, pushing us all into a very over populated area that does not have the infrastructure.

Please consider the anxiety, stress, depression, strain on families this is creating. People took out mortgages and signed leases to live in a quiet suburb, not live in a high-rise city. Please give us back our peace.

I would also like to voice my concern in regards to this application. With the higher density of housing in this area can you advise if any thought been given to the traffic congestion which we currently experiencing and the town planning.

I would appreciate if you could advise what consideration has been given to the following:
1) infrastructure of this area,
2) plans for parklands for the additional housing,
3) plans for the upgrade of Moorebank Shops which are looking very tired,
4) what the negative effect of the value of the property’s surrounding this application are likely to be, and
5) the type of low housing being built

What has seriously happened to the suburb of Moorebank? How do the developers get approval for the type of housing being built?

This should be a big no no.. there is already too many apartments in moorebank. Traffic is terrible. Think about all the school kids around and what that will do to the pick up and drop off by all the parents. Just stop...

J Parshotam
Sent to Liverpool City Council

There is absolutely no infrastructure to support this.

Traffic on Brickmakers Road, Nuwarra Road and Heathcote Road is horrendous enough as it is.

Not to mention there is NO parking available at the local shops (or even Liverpool Westfield) with the current population in Moorebank. Fix the infrastructure first.

I really don't understand why people are so negative .... traffic obviously will be managed with these units and other developments having their own car spaces. Several ppl have continually discussed privacy, unfortunately it is sad to see that certain residents in Moorebank expect to sit on 600 sq meters of land.... while the our youth have near no chance of ever finding affordable accommodation.
Zoning and legislation takes years of research to be passed.... I think for nothing other than selfish reasons.... the same ppl are commenting on all developments in Moorebank.
Affordable housing and smaller homes will create equal opportunity for ALL AUSTRALIANS to feel secure and have their own homes.
For unhappy residents, I suggest you move further out of SYDNEY if you want privacy and space, acerage maybe? Surely your assets are worth a lot more with the rezoning..... I didn't hear anyone complain then .... the projects and remodeling of suburbs like Moorebank create jobs , homes and a new fresh communities for generations to come . Stop the pessimism and emotional blackmail ( children , traffic , I do laps of the shopping center) .. same comments ... same ppl .
All these developments have guidelines that city planners have carefully put in place ... leave it to the experts and get on with your life . The New Modern Moorebank ... love it or leave it !

Moorebank cannot support anymore units at this time. The infrastructure is so old and out of date its rediculous to even consider the development. As per Kelly's comment the people that are living in and own the houses on larger blocks in Moorebank are older and have worked damn hard all their lives paying their taxes and paying off mortgages to be able to live comfortably in their older age. The young can do this too.......or is this council people putting comments on to support what their doing and are worried that so many residents are against these developments.

Juliet Gibbons
Sent to Liverpool City Council

Kelly, people did buy on large blocks on the outskirts of the city. Greedy people are trying to change that. When virtually everyone says this is a negative thing, it clearly is. You are either affiliated with the developer, or have no understanding of what it feels like to have your neighbourhood of 30-40 years destroyed by greedy developers. People paid a lot of money for their properties and now that property value is being destroyed by slum developments. Nobody wants a 5 storey development looking into their yard, into their windows. We live on top of one another as it is. You suggested people moving out further - maybe you need to take that advice yourself and buy somewhere affordable rather than expecting to live in an unaffordable area.

Mark C
Sent to Liverpool City Council

Mark ,
You are a prime example of a serial sook.
It is absolutely not true that your property devalued ....on the contrary.... it has increased dramatically and surpassed Chipping Norton prices. ( not warranted had it not been for rezoning )
Do not accuse me of being affiliated with people because I don't agree with you.
Times are changing, the suburb is evolving and has been rezoned . I think its a great thing and suggest you either plan to build awnings rather than waste your time complaining. Til then I will help my children save money so they too can live in Moorebank.... they may not get massive backyards BUT they will live in a suburb that is metropolitan.

Kelly
Sent to Liverpool City Council

No! No! NO! Do NOT proceed with anymore monstrous eyesore buildings.
Moorebank is an area of houses NOT these repulsive multiple level buildings.

Moorebank does NOT have the infrastructure to support this amalgamation of five lots! It's proposed to be developed in a quiet street where it's surrounded by single story homes.

Those residents surrounded by these hideous buildings will have NO privacy. They will no longer enjoy their backyards because of this. Parking will be non existent due to the increase of vehicles on the road. It is already congested with cars and traffic.

Furthermore, the traffic in the area will dramatically increase on not just Harvey Ave, but surrounding streets and roads such as Nuwarra road, Maddecks Ave, to name a few - which already struggle with constant traffic. This, as a result will additionally worsen traffic and will be extremely unsafe to those in the Moorebank community.

Not to mention there being insufficient parking - the local moorebank village shops, which too lacks in supporting such a substantial increase in people cannot facilitate this. Public transport such as nudes and train too cannot accommodate the increase.

I strongly object to this development proposal. This developement is dangerous for local residents and the infrastructure can NOT support it.

Moorebank is already over populated, you can barely get a spot at the shops at 6pm at night let alone during the day. I think Harvey Avenue would definitely not be a great fit for a block of units. Moorebank is becoming way too overcrowded for such a small community.
