Extension of time to an existing permit that allows: Since the issue of the permit in June 2023, the project’s feasibility has been reviewed in response to changing economic conditions, including substantial increases in construction costs, financing considerations and broader market uncertainty affecting project delivery. The permit holder has also been considering potential tenancy/operator arrangements to ensure that the approved childcare centre can be delivered in a commercially sustainable manner and operated successfully once completed. These matters have taken longer than originally anticipated to resolve. The extension of time is therefore sought to allow the development to proceed once economic and operational conditions are satisfactorily resolved.
