Do any of you who are all for this on /off ramp live on Newport rd or in Dora Creek ? I am against this application for the following reasons.
We already are overburdened with people speeding in the 60 zone killing innocent animals whose habitat is already destroyed due to more developments in the area, heavy overweighted Trucks going up and down Newport rd daily not to mention the noise they create, trying to exit a driveway on Newport rd is an absolute nightmare already any further traffic would create a buildup along Newport rd making it even harder.
Newport rd residents do not even have footpaths to protect us from this increased traffic multiple people have also been hit ,there are potholes everywhere the Council doesn't make this a priority for existing residents they are only interested in catering to residents of these new estates in Cooranbong .
The current turn onto Wangi rd is difficult and causes multiple accidents due to the lack of infastracture .
Dora Creek should not become burdened by excess traffic from Watagan Park or the M1 find another solution , there is no need for a petrol station or to destroy bushland when so much has disappeared already . Morisset is 10 minutes away and a petrol station already exists at the end of newport rd surely we should support this local business instead.
