In Oyster Bay NSW on “Demolition of existing...” at 159 Oyster Bay Road Oyster Bay NSW 2225:

Susan Gardiner commented

The residents of Oyster Bay chose to live in this suburb because it is traditionally an Australian suburb with one house on one block of land with ample room to maintain the existing tree canopy. It is the Council's duty and responsibility to maintain the 'dream' and the architectural character of Oyster Bay. As custodians of this land we have a duty of care to maintain as much native vegetation as possible.
This proposed over development should be dismissed as contrary to the expectations of the community and any other decision is a betrayal of trust. There are many other opportunities for people to live in high density concrete jungles in the Shire. As the COVID pandemic has shown, survival is assured when people live with distance between them, so lets stick to the plan, one house on one block of land.
