The masterplan doesn't say much about the Geotech. The concept talks about structures that are above the ground level. The sub-surface data mainly rock quality, cores & Lab test results from adjacent high rises would be beneficial in my view particularly if the constructions is in Hard Sandstone then are there any weaker joints/fractures present that may be affected by the construction/vibration activity. The core logs should also help in identifying lack/presence of any clay or shale in the foundation & how they react to swelling from water.

Besides the geotech, other key issues that mus b addressed are as under:

1) How does the developer plan on monitoring noise & dust levels ? Are there any plans to set up sound barriers/fences to monitor the decibels from the hammering for Pile foundations & drilling activities or water spraying to keep the dust levels down. These need to be addressed for the general health of the residents in the area.

2) Also Removal of the existing old brick buildings/sheds could expose people to any fine asbestos during demolition work. How will that be handled ??

Recent events seen during the construction of 120 Herring Road & the new Morling College Hostel wing have highlighted rampant illegal parking by Contractors on Saunders Close in driveways & nonchalant disposal of litter during lunch hours. I dont think the residents need to go through another groundhog day scenario all over again. Thanks
