This house is a significant contributing item to the Artarmon Conservation Zone and cannot be demolished. The owners where informed of that at the time of purchase. The house can be extended at the rear, as is the case with all other homes in the area, and will provide an additional 2 floor extension to the home. The extension will add a significant amount of space to the home dramatically increasing it's value. The house is in reasonable condition for its age (we inspected it at the time) , and certainly able to be repaired, and it's purchase price reflected the requirement to put a significant amount into it to recover it's period features.

There is no reason to request this house be knocked down and council should refuse the request.
