I understand this development will be 7 stories high. There are many reasons why this should not proceed.
    1. It is impossible to park in Terrigal at present and this will add further pressure
    2. this is a major intersection and traffic congestion will create significant delays at weekends and holiday times.
    3. The shops in Pine Tree lane cannot be leased and the last thing Terrigal needs is more shops to compete with businesses which have been servicing tourists and locals for years and paying exorbitant rents to landlords who provide no facilities. There will be more empty shops as local shop keepers give up and leave.
    4. Local residents and shopkeepers are paying rates to provide parking for this and recent developments. Developers should pay for all parking - not make an inadequate contribution to council to "buy" their way out of the problem.
    5. May of the apartments are leased to holiday makers, many of whom are in Terrigal for a few nights and make lots of noise and produce heaps of litter. Council has noise regulations which are impossible to enforce (my wife and I have tried) and frankly make Terrigal an undesirable place to live as a permanent resident.

Councils primary responsibility is to existing residents and I sincerely request councillors reconsider the impact of the over development of Terrigal in recent years and the impact on existing residents.

I concur with the above and agree that a building of this magnitude is not in keeping with the current landscape of the area.
    Parking is a night mare
tourists are disrespectful to those who live in Terrigal and there is drunken parties in the car park every Friday and Saturday night.
The intersection where this development is being proposed is dangerous as trucks and cars do not enter the round about correctly and drive straight over the top, nor do they stop for pedestrians.
A building of this magnitude would mean increased traffic in an already poorly managed area and the possibility of more traffic lights.
I would not support this development as there are many vacant shops in the area as it is, rents are exorbitant and the areas is being outpriced for the locals who live there.
Traffic flow is poor through the CBD of Terrigal and many more cars will be forced up and down Wilson Rd which is becoming very dangerous and extremely noisy
Local residents are finding it difficult to park close to the main street forcing them out of the area or encouraging them to drive to Erina where parking is easier and close to amenities
