This application will be granted by council in due course, of that there is no doubt. This is the unstoppable train of development that apparently has no end, often to the detriment and deterioration of amenity to immediate long-term, rate-paying neighbours. What cannot be overcome is the abysmal traffic/car parking situation in this vicinity, and indeed within the entire Elsternwick village. There simply must be a veto against these infantile, ubiquitous words in nearly all planning applications; "REDUCTION IN (REDUCE) THE STATUTORY CAR PARKING REQUIREMENTS". The question(s) that need to be asked by any thinking individual are, (a) Where are all the cars going to go? and (b) Will the Australian populace give up their love of the motor car any time soon?

I am in total agreement that there must be no reduction in the parking requirements for any developments in the Elsternwick area as it is already a disaster where we residents can no longer park conveniently. Also noise and pollution increased not even considering the already approved developments.

The height of this development is not in keeping with the residential environment of Elsternwick. 14 stories is much too high. Why do the council wish to destroy the atmosphere and culture of Elsternwick? A more considerate approach to development can be taken to ensure Elsternwick sustains it's culture.
