This development is in a potential heritage conservation area. Any amendments to the DA need to be sensitive to that. Already this applicant has demolished a beautiful Queen Anne Style dwelling on the eve of the draft Hurlstone Park heritage plan being issued by Council and is seeking to increase height limits in a single-storey residential area. I think any amendments to the DA should be refused as the applicant is already cramming 3 town houses on a double block. The applicant has removed mature trees from Dunstaffenage Street which is regrettable.

THE increased floor levels will make this house present an excessively out of character street appeal for an area under an interim heritage order. The heights will impose the facade on the street. New modern builds should be built to ensure that they will not impose on the diminishing heritage of this area. The original approval should stand and if this new council wish to start supporting these kind of amendments then the community will end up with the same council we had before the sackings. Stick to the rules.

I object to this application on the grounds that the planned buildings already do not suit the single storey buildings around them. Now the increased floor levels will make present the house even more excessive. I don't understand how this can even be proposed. The new council needs to be cautious of the community's constant demands in Hurlstone Park.
