    Hi

I am concerned about the proposal for a 13 storey apartment complex at this location. In addition to the comments previously raised, this property will cast a significant shadow on surrounding properties, affecting light, gardens, and ability to place solar power. It will greatly affect parking in the area as the coate ave is already overcrowded with cars.

    Regards

This is out of all proportion to the neighbourhood and inconsistent with Council's recent decision on eg: 'House of Lights'. Recent VCAT decision on 'House of Lights' resulted in 8 story approval after rejection of previous 9 storey design, and significant resulting redesign to reduce impact.
Reduction in parking: this is a constant request. While recognising the policy of reducing car usage, permitting developers to reduce parking is essentially a cost transfer from the private to public sector. Residents and local roads bear the burden, council bears the cost of road upkeep. Developer saves money.

Hi, I am concerned that any new multi storey development is potentially given approval without full car parking provisions. Given the location of the proposed development, residents will have cars. Also, given the proposed development is on Heidelberg road, where will all the residents park? 13 stories is out of character for the surrounding area. The Amcor site has also recently had green space removed which was meant to be in the build. We need infrastructure and parking provisions when giving the go ahead to multi storey developments. The Fairfield Station 6 storey development was meant to be green and for people without cars, however, lots of residents own cars and walk outside and jump straight into their car parked in the street. Developers of 13 storey buildings should be providing provisions for car parking.
