Dear Assessment Team, I have met with the proponent and discussed the proposed lease variation, which would enable a Nightingale Housing project to proceed on the consolidated site. The Nightingale Housing model provides a valuable opportunity to demonstrate an alternative approach to multi-unit housing, that facilitates client-focussed design and potential construction cost savings. Contributing to the diversity of housing types available and boosting affordable housing supply close to public transport would be beneficial, so in principle I support the DA, which is consistent with the Minister's Statement of Planning Intent.
