I would Ike to know how the parking will be organized for such a volume of properties on such a busy road - what will
Council be looking at with regard to the extra vehicles particularly so close to a school and a daycare centre. The building of these sorts of multi dwellings is well and truly out of control.... do our councilors or mayor have to travel Wellington road in the mornings - we are already choking with traffic and each time these developments are approved it simply adds to the problem

I have the same query, parking around Rowville has become very difficult, at both Stud Park and Wellington Village its is now ridiculous. Knox Council keeps approving more and more dwellings but nothing is being done about parking or increasing access to public transport.
There are children walking to school and its becoming more and more dangerous with more cars on the road. There are lots of streets which are are have no lighting or poor lighting , with more vehicles means more people on the roads/footpaths I dont see any changes to the infrastructure , goods or services of this area, but lots more rate payers!

We also need some public convienences at the parks. There are none available for shoppers at The Lakes Shopping Centre. Not fun if you are in having your hair done at Hennessy Lane. None at the park on the corner of Taylor's Lane and Kelletts Rd, none anywhere along the bike track from Ferntree Gully finishing at Stud Rd, none in the reserve next to Karoo PS. Those self contained ones would be perfect.

WOW! this is soooo extreme! Way too many! As Wendy state imagine the traffic, its bad enough at school pickup and drop off.. and another issue they may not be thought out..how is it going to be bin night/day when there are 44 extra bins trying to fit on the curb??
Isnt this a 1.5 acre lot? So its even under 300sq per dwelling and that's not allowing for road/driveway access to the all.
My bet there wont even be parking for 2 cars per dwelling plus *visitors* parking as well.

This is ridiculous! Families move to Rowville to enjoy the established area and its surrounds. Taylors Lane is already a busy road without adding 22 more properties and I can guarantee most of those dwellings won't have double garages so the over spill of cars onto the street day and night will continue to congest the area. Not to mention the eyesore 22 townhouses will create. We love this area for its leafy, established feel and don't want the community feeling ruined by unecessary establishments. Suburbs like Boronia and Wantirna South are already being inundated with developments like these and they're reaking havoc on the neighborhoods. I will certainly be petitioning this development.

I don't know why everyone is getting upset. It appears to be a deliberate planning Strategy by Knox Council to raise Rates Revenue. They are cramming as many Rate Revenue raising properties as they can.

If you query it - Knox Council will tell you that it's not a 'Knox Council' problem but a State Government one. Tell that to the thousands of people ignored by Knox Council over height restrictions in UFTGully and the $400,000 of ratepayers money wasted.

Knox Council just doesn't care about anything any more - other than raising revenue.

This is going to be interesting if this gets through as along with this and the 3 story aged care building permit gone in only a few houses down Taylors Lane will not cope with the extra traffic and congestion, especially at school times.
