An inappropriate development in a residential area located on a main road with no parking provided..
Parking requirements should NOT be waived as there is a parking and traffic crisis in the area now.
Hunter Street has a high traffic volume during the proposed operating times of 8:00am to 4:00pm. High Street Road and Blackburn Road intersection is congested and vehicles use Hunter Street and Matthew Street to avoid this intersection.
There are parking restrictions, NO STANDING 8:00am to 4:00pm in Hunter Street adjacent to this proposed development. These were installed to ensure there are no restrictions to through traffic turning from High Street Road into Hunter Street.
This development should not be approved. If it is, it will create a precedent for similar developments on adjacent properties!
