I asked Northern Beaches Council whether they had information regarding a development application for an aged care facility / retirement home or equivalent.

They effectively gave me a treasure map and told me to go hunt.
Separately, I have learned of the existence of:
    Application Number: DA2017/0237
and I have submitted an objection to Council, to:

    1. The proposed development.

    2. The fact that neighbouring residents, who would experience loss of quiet enjoyment of their property and neighborhood during and subsequent to the proposed works, were not given any notification.

It would be naïve in the extreme to consider that noise and traffic on the narrow roadway of Childs Circuit during the proposed work and for ever after would not impact negatively on the quiet enjoyment of neighboring residents and the values of their properties.
I have not, would not and will not make a donation or inducement to council, a councillor or council employee, who I am sure are adequately remunerated to do a job.

The proposal to provide entry/egress to/from a site with a development as large as this one form a quiet residential street such as Childs Circuit, is preposterous.

On any day, there is access for one vehicle ONLY through the centreline of the carriageway, with vehicles parked on either side. If these vehicles are large 4wds, the resultant space is even less.

During one 20 minute period from 10:15 to 10:35 on Friday April 21st, 23 family vehicles and 2 trucks entered or left Childs Circuit from Perentie Rd. At that time, 2 removalist trucks were occupying space as well at 11 Childs Circuit whilst unloading furniture.

Considering the size and weight and manoeuvreability of construction vehicles and the affect on the amenity and likely noise levels generated, the day-to-day living conditions would be intolerable. Childs Circuit is a quiet, narrow residential street which was not designed to carry the volume of traffic a proposal such as this would generate. Parking on the street is currently at a premium and the expected number of visiting vehicles would disenfranchise local residents of parking spaces.

Access to all of the other properties on Forest Way is from Forest Way itself. This should also apply to this current development.

I have not and would NEVER make a donation or gift to any Councillor or Council Employee and it is insulting to constituents to even include the need for this disclaimer.

As of late construction on the site has become very noisey, since the crane arrived there is non stop beeping. Sounds like a car horn going off all day & the last two days it started at 6.30am. Also they are now working Saturday & last Sunday morning.
The workers are parking all day in Private streets & Childs Circuit is now full of parked cars & trucks on both sides of the road right up to the corners of the side streets making it very unsafe to exit the side streets.
Also the workers are dropping rubbish on the streets & side verges & basically not caring for the environment.
This Estate has always been such a peaceful place to live, until late & Im sure we have noice restrictions from 7am.
I would be very grateful if this complaint is looked into further.
