    Hello -

I appreciate it is too early to submit a formal objection but I just want to voice my extreme concerns about the proposal for a 7 story mixed residential/retail development.

Our house at 34a Cedar St would share a boundary with this proposal and we already have major concerns about the overshadowing, loss of and obstruction of sunlight, and privacy issues that would accompany a development of any more than 10.5m in height. Noise complaints may also be an issue.

The suggestion of more than 40 dwellings also will prompt parking issues and strain on local resources.

Whilst I appreciate this land may fall in State Gov commercial zones, it does seem to also lie in Glen Eira Residential Zone - Schedule 2.

Thanks for listening to my feedback. I expect I will be one of many with an interest in this particular development.

    All the best,

    Edwina

I tried to get more information from Planning about this but was told that the person handling the matter was out. I seek to know how high the development is and how is parking to be arranged? Parking requirements are there for a reason and they should not be reduced in return for increased profit to the developer and increased rates for Council. This is not the CBD or St Kilda Rd so please show some common sense and reject this application.
