I support this application, as the managers of the property seem to be responsible and there have been no issues in the past year. The restaurant is a welcome addition to Addison Rd.

I object to this application because I believe that the extended trading hours and the addition of amplified music and DJ's is inappropriate with the surrounding uses. I would ask that the council consider the location of this venue and the surrounding houses and businesses when assessing this application. While it can be a considered a mixed business and residential strip the other businesses that surround it are not nightclubs or bars they are small businesses (bike shop, dry cleaners, corner store) that have a very small number of visitors and operate quietly mainly within business hours. A nightclub style business is not appropriate here and would adversely affect the area which is currently under strain from an impending increase of apartments and developments. It would not be fair on the current residents living above, beside and behind the building due to noise. I believe it would also result in anti social behaviour along Addison Road. Smashed empty beer bottles, litter, urination etc is already experienced on evenings where events are held close by.

There are much more appropriate areas very close by - Enmore Road, Marrickville Rd, King Street - for this kind of business.

If the applicant was to amend the DA to an extension of hours for a restaurant style service keeping to the current number of patrons for the square metre then I think this would be much more acceptable.

(I believe the last comment is against the wrong DA. Fair enough given how much development is going on in the area!)

I object to this application for the impact on the residents and the location for live music and trading until midnight in a residential area. The restaurant is located in a residential area (with the exception of a real estate next door - the only commercial business near it). It has residential apartments above, homes next door and homes behind and in the surrounding streets. A late night venue and particularly one with live music will impact on the quality of lifestyle for those how have purchased property or are locked into tenancies in a residential area. There is no other late night commercial venues directly next to homes. The closet one would be the Vic Hotel across from the park which does not sit next to residential homes. There is no supporting info-structure in this part of Addison Road (unlike Newtown or Enmore Road) to support public transport late at night with only one bus stop. This will likely mean those leaving the venue at midnight will potentially be noisy and disturb the local (sleeping) residents (if they and their families can sleep with live music happening). A venue with live music and trading until midnight will attract a different type of clientele to an upmarket restaurant and will potentially impact with noise and other impacts on residents. Parking is another issue and the car spaces at the back of the building that I presume would probably have been part of the DA approval for the apartments and restaurant (in my personal opinion) appear incomplete and not accessible for cars despite the building being occupied for quite a while. Whilst I support commercial properties and live venues, they need to be in a location that is not surrounded by homes where they will impact on a quite residential area, local families and community.

Barzaari is a fantastic addition to the area, and the hours suggested seem fair enough. A few more outdoor seats sound great.

I must have read a different DA as I don't see any mention of DJs or live music as discussed in some of the other comments. Perhaps confusing this DA with the one for 107 Addison?

It is great to have local restaurants and bars offering these types of services to the local area. Most people going would be locals and we need to have more night spots. I encourage the development and hope it goes ahead.
