My primary concern about this development would be that sufficient parking is provided. There are already restaurants and clubs in the vicinity and if there is not enough parking then that will place more stress on street parking, particularly if the shops are open after hours. During the working week daytime parking in Banksia Road is heavily utulised by commuters travelling by train.

Also traffic movements need to be considered. The current traffic lights at the intersection on Mackay Street and the Kingsway can be quite dangerous for people turning west onto the Kingsway or President avenue from Mackay Street, especially when traffic is heavy and people turning west from Port HAcking Road queue into the intersection.
