Another multi dwelling site with car parking dispensation. Has our council lost all their common sense? This site is on a narrow service road alongside Stud Rd with no parking. Are the occupiers of these proposed dwellings going to be banned from having vehicles? This site should have at least 2 car spaces for each dwelling plus visitor parking on site.

Even without carparking dispensation, there is still a problem with the "tandem car parking" as most people wont park 1 car in the single garage and the second car in the driveway in front of the garage but will park the second car on the street. There should be two easily usable car parking spaces per residence and definitely no dispensation under any circumstances.

We highly encourage and support dense developments along Stud Road and Boronia Road. As mentioned by David there is a shortage of housing and the prices have gone up dramatically and therefore the dream of owning a home for our young generations are fading away.
The council has done a great job with their rezoning in order to keep the dense developments to main roads. The setbacks within the Residential Growth Zones need to be reduced to 6m maximum in order to allow for more landscaping to the rear of the site which backs into the General residential zones. Residential Growth Zones need to allow for much more denser developments with lesser street setbacks and lesser recessed upper storeys.
The council needs to support much more denser developments within RGZs located in an Activity Area close to urban services with good access to public transport, located on the Principal Public Transport Network (PPTN) ie. Stud Rd & Boronia Rd.

I think Knox council should allow 4 story buildings on Stud Road to allow developers more freedom to have parking onsite. This is seen in the Boronia area.
