I live opposite the service station and am concerned about the trading hours of the petrol station being extended to opening at 6 am and closing 7 pm Monday to Saturday. The noise generated from customers filling up with petrol from 6 am and vehicles being repaired from 7 am will impact on my sleep and well being. The delivery of fuel often wakes me, usually between 4 and 5 am.
I am also concerned about the increase in traffic entering and leaving the site. There are times when Macquarie Street is already congested with Collegiate School, school crossing, cafe, retail outlets and supermarket, traffic is often banked up back to Darcy Street. Street parking is already scarce and an increase in retail tenancy and offices will compound this.
Finally the extension of the East wall seems excessive, it will look ugly and impact on the neighboring house.
