The Hardiman hotel is the only pub in Kensington Village and so converting into residential only would be a loss. Keep the pub, it's a great place for locals to relax and have a drink with friends. It's also one of the only pubs around that doesn't have a TAB and so is a great place to meet and eat with friends.

A more appropriate requirement would be whoever destroyed the original Art Deco bar interior in there, to reinstate it to an historically accurate facsimile. If that was a condition precedent of the planning, it would be a win win.

I believe The Quiet Man is also being turned into apartments. Population growth is significant in the area, but without amenities it's going to become a very soulless place to live.

This simply cannot be considered as an appropriate and rational option. For a small suburb this would have drastic implications on the Kensington community. This is a place where locals meet to connect and share. Please let common sense prevail, there are plenty of other opportunities for apartments in the suburb, this is not one of them
