The application for a service station at 55 Caloundra road, Little Mountain (corner of Latcham Drive, is an application of monumental stupidity and for a service station to be approved on this particular site, would be an approval of monumental stupidity. The intersection is already a very busy intersection providing access to Bunnings Hardware and also the large service station on the opposite corner. The site is also next door to an over 50's village in which people of advanced age reside. There is also another such village next door to that one further up on the inbound side to Caloundra. Another service station on this site would disrupt considerably the quality of life of the residents of these villages, especially the one immediately next door to the site. Council would be failing immensely in it's duty to the residents of these villages if this application were to be approved.
