I fully support Golden Barley's application for a further 2 years for a continued provision of live entertainment between the hours of 10am and 11pm. Sydney needs more live music venues - they create real experience and opportunities for local artists as well as entertainment and culture for locals. And 11pm is by no means a late time to close. In many parts of the world it's when families and individuals are only just heading out for a coffee or stroll. This pub has been around since the 1930's - if people have a problem with a slight amount of noise at 11pm they shouldn't move in next door to such important and vibrant hubs for social connection and entertainment.

I fully support this application for the Golden Barley to have live entertainment. I live just a stone's throw away down Edgeware Rd and frequent it fairly regularly. Having it as a potential live music venue would be a great addition to the local area as well as for Sydney in general. The Barley has such a great and welcoming vibe, and is often well attended by people of all ages including families and live entertainment will only add to its contribution as a social hub for locals in the area.

    I completely support this application.
Live entertainment at pubs like the Golden Barley is important for art and culture in the area.

As a resident living on the same street as the Golden Barley, I wholly support this proposal. Perhaps due to its long history and positive relationship with various communities in the area, this venue creates only minimal disturbance and is highly respectful of residents. At the same time, it is an essential part of the social and cultural fabric of the area. The Golden Barley is to be commended on its efforts to date and supported in this very reasonable application.
