    Question 1: If there are 749 units and retail as well as public facilities how many car parks are envisaged for the site in total, and what is the break up calculation for each use? How many disabled facilities will the complex cater for?

    Question 2: What measures are proposed to combat traffic stagnation along Oak Road as current conditions are that it takes, on average, two or three light changes to cross the intersection of Oak and Princes Hwy. What measures are proposed to deal with residual traffic along Oak Road between The Hwy and Waratah Street as more sites are developed in this area?

    Question 3: How much street parking will be sacrificed for this project?

    Question 4: How will traffic be directed on and off the site and where will it connect with the main roads, being Princes Hwy, Oak Rd and President Avenue.

    Question 5: How will people be moved via public transport to and from this site. How will foot traffic be moved across the Hwy.

    Question 6: What maintenance procedures are proposed to keep the site from becoming an eyesore.

    I agree with asking the question about traffic stagnation on Oak Rd as I use that road frequently in peak hour traffic to drive across the highway and it DOES take 2 -3 traffic light changes from the roundabout down to get across. The pedestrians trying to cross the highway also impact negatively on the traffic flow turning left off Oak Rd onto the highway. Will there be an overhead bridge to take that foot traffic safely away from the vehicle traffic, given the size of the project? If not why not? This project will be a recipe for disaster if these issues are not addressed.

    I agree that the biggest issue will be Oak Road. The stagnation is a real issue both north and south bound at the oak and highway intersection. Pedestrian crossing does hold traffic flow. The north south pedestrian crossing is the only legal way to cross on foot for a significant distance along the highway. The next crossing to the east is at Kingsway. To the west is at Acacia Road outside Honda.
    The must be a strong case for an overhead walking bridge or tunnel to facilitate safer connection to businesses within walking distance. Couple this with the fact that Kirrawee pub is bring built on corner of bath and highway. I can imagine intoxicated people following the road rules and walking up to Oak Road, crossing on the north then west of Oak and highway intersection on the way to the station or cab rank..... Will not happen. They will run the risk and cross 6 lanes of highway traffic. It is human nature to take that short cut.

    The pedestrian disconnect with the commercial area north of the highway and Oak road north and south bound are not even addressed in the traffic report. Residents leaving this development will all use Oak Road north to get onto the highway or cross to the commercial area and beyond
