We are concerned about where the storm water for the property will go.We live at 916 Windermere rd and have a storm water drain at our back fence. Every time there is a heavy down pour we get excessive water and it has flodded our shed in the past, as it seems other properties are tapped into this. It does not have sufficient trenches and to add another property to this will flood our property on a regular basis. The whole area needs to be upgraded, as a lot of newer properties are being built on the flat and get all the run off from the properites on the hill.
Please let us know the outcome. I know we are late with this comment, but just thought of it now.

I know it is too late for this planning application. But the council needs to seriously relook at the Swan Bay development. Given the rapid deforestation of the new estate increasing amounts of water run-off is entering Little Salty Creek which runs down the hill and along Meika Court before entering the Tamar River.
As a resident of Meika Court we have noticed the increased run-off in our portion of Little Salty Creek –yet the Council and developer seem reluctant to put into place diversion measures and rectification of downstream (downhill) properties affected by the increased water run-off.
Furthermore little thought has been given into improving Windermere Road besides the recent removal of on-the-verge vegetation. The road surface around the new development is rapidly deteriorating due the depth of the current bitumen surface and increasing traffic flow. Indeed it has taken many residents more than a year to get the Council and The Department of State Growth to reduce the speed on this road-yet it appears that some still can’t abide by the new speed restrictions putting the rest of our community at risk!
I’m not against development but your development should NOT affect my quality of life. You just have to look at one of the current homes being developed in the estate which is diverting their “home-made dam” overflow directly into the gutter on Windermere Road which is causing an increase volume of water running down the road and leading to degradation of the bitumen further down the hill.
