This application should not go ahead, firstly it is a heritage listed house secondly there is already a shortage of parking space for cars,it is a family street if there is 38 rooms there will be parking problems ,the people staying in theses room may be a threat to the families and little kids living in the street.I live in the street and this is the first i have heard about it,why was the whole street not informed about this proposal,it makes me suspisous that it is corrupt and if it does go ahead we will take it further,to our local member and to the news

I object for the same reasons as posted already by Emir. I need to park close to my house because I have a physical disability and am already finding it difficult at the moment to find a parking spot close to my house.

Canterbury Council area does not need more boarding houses. We have approved more than enough. 3 storey buildings will be in the history books of Lakemba as the construction of Sydney Metro to Bankstown will mean the government will dramatically increase height restrictions and FSR. I do not support a 3 storey boarding house. Council should act now, rezone critical land near Lakemba station to support better land-uses, much higher height and FSR limits before every piece of land is developed.

I do not support this at all, there will be an oversupply of boarding houses in this area.

I object because of the following:

I have a physical disability and one day I was fined for parking on the footpath grass are due to lack of parking on that day

I’m with you guys who have commented. Your comments correct. Nothing has changed with Canterbury council except their amalgamation, with Bankstown, (which I think is stupid, as I am On kingsgrove/Beverly Hills side, and have nothing whatsoever to do with Bankstown. ) they will do what they like, don’t listen or care about their ratepayers. Quigg street residents, I wish you luck, but from previous experience , council does what they want. We must be polite with comments, so I need to stop here. Good luck residents......
