Why isn't this property heritage listed? It is 100 years old. My father was born there, as was his older sister and a brother as well.
I have many photos of my Father's family home, going back to when Dad was a baby ,88 years ago.
Dad is still with us and would be absolutely devastated to learn that it was going to be knocked down.
Dad's family were prominent in the area and very involved in the Sacred Heart Parish just down the road.
There are many period features in the home, including pressed metal ceilings and stained glass windows. I think there is still an original pull-chain toilet around the back of the house.
The original coach house is still in the back yard, but in poor condition. It was accessed via the back lane.
The house should be restored, not knocked down.
