This street has already started to become overdeveloped. I am concerned with the impact this will have on the traffic within the already congested streets around this area. The large multi story dwelling will block all natural light for all apartments and commercial real estate on both Ellis and Wilson streets.

The council should consider reclaiming this land for parkland to connect Ellis Street through to Garden Street and the Jam Factory etc....

I totally agree with Paul Whiteoak. The way it's going this area will be full of high rise apartments. Already there is no parking available for local residents or visitors.

I agree completely with Paul and John. Wilson and Ellis streets have become extremely overcrowded/congested with traffic. The streets are currently overdeveloped given the fact that Wilson st in particular is a one way street. This proposed building does not provide adequate parking with only 4 car spots being provided for 26 apartments.

Building heights of recent developments all appear to be above the recommended restrictions put in place by the council, and this proposed property looks to exceed those recommendations again.

To Paul's point; this construction is sure to limit natural light to both Wilson and Ellis streets. Being at the Western end of the street it will cast shadows over all properties from the afternoon through to the evening.

Height restrictions should be reduced and enforced along these two lane ways as well as adequate parking being a requirement for any new developments.

I strongly endorse Paul's recommendation for reclaiming the land for the use of parkland which would benefit surrounding residents and visitors to the area.

I have received a notification in the mail that the planning permit is now under consideration. Any objections to the planning permit for this 10 story building consisting of 33 dwellings and ground level shop (with only 4 car parking spaces) need to be made in writing to council@stonnington.vic.gov.au prior to the 19th December 2014
