Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the development application DA0346/2013 (17 Bain Terrace)

I would like to state in the first instance that I am not opposed to the application to demolish the house and remove vegetation, however I am concerned about the impact of these works on my property which is located opposite the site on Wattle Way, in close proximity to the works. I request that suitable conditions be included on any permit issued. In particular, that hours of construction be clearly noted, restricting the use of machinery for demolition and vegetation clearing to reasonable hours (especially on weekends) to respect the amenity of our household.

Also, any potential access by large vehicles or machinery from Wattle Way needs to be carefully managed as this is a very narrow, one way lane and awkward for manoeuvrability in and out of current driveways at the best of times, without any added congestion. I request that a condition also be included that prevents vehicles associated with construction works from parking/stopping in Wattle Way. There is ample room on the site for parking and manoeuvrability and parking bays on Bain Terrace to ensure that the machinery and works do not encroach on Wattle Way.

We wish the owner well in their future development of the site.

    Yours sincerely.
    Michael Croll
