In addition to works approved under Planning Permit 2022-5, Vline are seeking a permit to remove vegetation along the rail bridge located at Crown Lots 2024, 2026, 2110 (Toolamba) and 2057, 2141 (Kialla). The construction of the new bridge piers will require access for heavy machinery while the bridge remains functional during the majority of the works. Support pads for the heavy machinery will stretch 15m from the base of the bridge, running parallel to the existing wooden supports that will be replaced. This amounts to approximately 75m in length along the western approach, and 60m along the eastern approach. An arborist has conducted an assessment, and trees outside the footprint will be treated as no-go zones. (Not all trees assessed will be required to be removed)
