Removal of 18 trees -why ? Removing 18 trees when it is widely recognised the role trees play in cooling our suburbs. I object to this proposal on basis that our suburbs are being turned into concrete jungles with no regard for climate change and the impact that constant tree removal plays in this .

Could we be told what sort of trees and why they need to be removed?

These trees are homes to local wildlife. Why are they being removed? Mature trees are scant in St Leonards, I disagree with the removal of 18 trees.

I strongly disagree with the removal of these trees. The trees in the area are already disappearing at an alarming rate. The local wildlife NEED those trees, otherwise we see increasing numbers of people angry that desperate animals have ventured into their homes. Not sure what can be expected when we keep removing their natural homes for no good reason.

It would be nice to see some kindness and/or appreciation shown for the unique fauna native to this country.

Enough trees are being destroyed for the Western Harbour & Northern Beaches tunnels. Please protect as many trees as possible!

I would like to know why the removal 18 perfectly healthy are trees being removed from Fredrick Street is being contemplated! And add my strong objection to others similarly
    minded!
The street is more than adequate for the traffic, wider than many others carrying heavy loads of vehicles! If it is for the purpose of widening the street to allow more cars have am & pm clear ways to cater for traffic flow! And I also add my very deep concern about the removal of habitat for all native species and microorganisms.

Can council explain why and what measures will be introduced to offset the loss of shade and wildlife habitat

I object to 18 trees being removed from 12 Frederick Street, Artarmon. From observation of the site I presume that the trees are to be removed from the corner of Reserve Road and 12 Frederick Street. There has been a very nice garden on this site which has been allowed to become overgrown with weeds and creepers. If these weeds and creepers were removed and the original plants and trees allowed to remain then this garden would be a pleasant area for the on-site workers and the community driving or walking past.
Please do not remove these trees- merely tidy up the garden.
