Hi i wish to voice my objection to the Material Change of Use of 207 Winston Rd Palmwoods.
I have lived in Winston Rd for more than 30 years and have seen many changes, i have seen a marked increase in traffic flow over the years due to greater population and increased noise levels due to tree clearing and highway upgrading, this has reduced my enjoyment of my property and the surrounding area. I feel the application will further increase the traffic flow and noise levels in the street which is not what i want.
I would NOT like to see the approval of this MCU as this is a rural area and zoned as such and this application may be for only 8 cabins but I feel this could be expanded at a later stage or set a precedent to allow for further approvals.

I am a resident living adjacent to the proposed material change of use address. Our property is zoned as rural and we keep livestock on our property as do the majority of our neighbours in this area. Our property directly backs onto Marshall's ski lakes. Over the years, and more so than ever, we are constantly subjected to a high level of noise from high powered jet skis and jet boats operating on Marshall's ski lakes. This noise is extremely distressing to us as residents and particularly our livestock. The proposed development would create further traffic, noise and visitors to the ski lakes, as well as trespassers onto our property as has happened before. In addition to this, the development would affect ours and the farm land of other residents in the area, as well as the local flora and fauna. This is all rural land. Let it remain so for the purpose it is intended. Further traffic and people in this area will create danger to livestock and the families of residents. In addition to the already approved Big Pineapple development which poses the same issues, this will be too much and is grossly unfair on residents.

Yes Hayley it's sad and disappointing what's happening on the Sunshine Coast. It's not progress, it's destruction for those greedy for money.

I live next to Hayley Hallett, so therefore the issues I have to deal with are the same as Hayley. I have lived here for all my married live, 41 1/2 years and have had to battle for many years now to maintain some meassure of tranquility that once was the lot of living in a rural location. As rural living residents we sometimes forgo the conveniences of suburbia, like town water, convenient shops, footpaths, kerbside pickups, etc etc. But with rural living that is usually more than compensated for by quite roads, roads without rubbish strewn from one end to the other, undue reving of jetskis & skiboats all day every day & loud music along with unscheduled fireworks at night. The proposed development is not within the scope of a rural living lifestyle therefore it has no place at the above location. Please listen to the people who have quitely & regularly been paying their rates without complant for many years. Lets keep some places for a sanctuary for families to live, not a sporting facilitly for holiday makers who have no interest in the flora & fauna in a delicate environment.

I am the owner and resident of Leafy Lane, Woombye and strongly object to the Material Change of Use of 207 Winston Rd Palmwoods (MCU22/0142).
I have lived here all my life. The property has been in my parents and grandparents hands before me.
This will definitely reduce the quality of living of those living nearby to this development. We are already have to listen to noisy jet skis which continually use the lakes even during the COVID lockdowns. There is no respect for neighbours at all.
These cabins are just the thin edge of the wedge and will surely develop in to more.
Existing residents have invested heavily into their properties and it is a rural area which is being eroded by selfish few.
