Stop approving these types of dwellings in our area and especially on major roads we take to leave the suburb like Jukes road. People use garages for storage and park on the street and it's creating intolerable congestion on an already congested and dangerous road. Just stop it.

This type of construction serves nothing but turning the place into a concrete jungle. Nothing enjoyable or good looking about less visible sky and diminishing green space. Not to mention adding congestion on an already crowded street.

Please refrain from turning this beautiful neighborhood into another sardin tin; packed with people and cars with no room to breath. I'm getting flash-backs from impoverished 3rd world countries just walking around some of these new developments. A big shame!

This application should not be approved. Jukes Road is one of the main thoroughfares in and out of Fawkner and due to the already allowed three storey unit developments in this block the road is becoming congested due to excess cars parking on the road and rubbish bins. The 2 lane road has turned into 1 and due to it's proximity to Bonwick Street is constantly backing up. Even if residents have a garage, many have more than 1 car or use the garage for other means which will result in even more cars parked on the road. Jukes Road gives access to Fawkner High School, Fawkner Soccer Club, Fawkner Library, Fawkner Leisure Centre and pool and also not to mention CB Smith Reserve where Council holds events, having traffic congestion on this road is just not viable. Some forethought needs to be put in to the acceptance of all these large development requests before council finds themselves with a larger problem.

I live on Penn Ct - with the combination of Bonwick shops, the roundabout, on-street parking and the bus route that goes down Jukes, I often can't get out of my street for quite a while! I would worry about additional traffic and congestion.
I am also concerned about the lack of garden and space for trees, given the ample evidence of heat islands in suburbia due to the lack of mature trees and the reduced garden space. Fawkner's trees are still fairly young and do not shade the roads - we desperately need more tree cover, not more buildings without gardens.

Too much concrete, reduced green spaces =
steep decline to a miserable overheated suburb. There is only one reason to build this type of dwelling = greater profit margins. Our streets aren't designed for the increased traffic this will create and our kids will no longer be safe. If anything we need more bicycle lanes.

I live off Anderson road and the units they have put on Anderson Road near Sydney Road intersection have made getting out at the lights at Sydney Road a nightmare. Council is not interested in people who already live in Fawkner more interested in the rates they can make from allowing these ugly units. STOP building them. The roads around Fawkner are now hard to get though.

Agree with Rhonda's comment about Anderson Road, which alongside Jukes Road, are becoming very dangerous roads, due to lack of parking. Council needs to carve out nature strip and build more parking spaces, or else they may be liable for car accidents due to volume of cars travelling through these major thoroughfares.
