    Six storey — plus basement, wouldn't be surprising in Box Hill but would feel completely out of place in a neighbourhood like Surrey Hills. Most buildings around here are two-story high, having a single building standing by itself wouldn't fit in the landscape of village-like green, and local community.

    We local residents do not want our houses boxed in by high rise developments- totally unacceptable and out of place in this already congested, highly trafficked area.
    Box Hill has become high rise, let high rise stay confined to that area, stop the creep into Boroondara.

    Terrible high building for such a built up area! Traffic is so congested Warrigal rd and Canterbury rds

    This application is sited in the 'dogleg' between Union and Warrigal Road on Canterbury Road . This road is always busy , and in the mornings traffic can back up to the Telstra Tower with the congestion caused at the Warrigal Road intersection.
    TRAFFIC & PARKING : The proposal would add to the congestion with the no. of residences and associated commercial and retail client parking needs . The request for reduced parking should be refused.
    BUILDING HEIGHT : The height of the building at 6 storeys would overshadow residential areas directly to the south.
    State and Local Government need to work together to develop a plan for this particular traffic site where Warrigal Road from the beach meets Canterbury Road from the Dandenongs; and do this before any more developments in this specific area are approved.
