Heritage area apparently means nothing - our beautiful suburban streetscapes and gardens are simply being trampled by developers.
Council wake up…..what are you doing to protect our heritage areas?
There are monstrosities being built in every street…..disgraceful.

It is tragic to see the overdevelopment Of Boroondara. Try driving down the streets where cars are double parked. 2 adults+2 kids=4 cars. Kids are staying at home longer. The overdevelopment is the work of RICHARD WYNNE. Not the councils. Next election let’s hope he retires. I object to the demolition

I agree with the above comments and add that the subject property is being demolished due to an error in its grading. The house and neighbouring No. 62 are incorrectly considered non-contributory within the heritage precinct when it would be more appropriate to consider them contributory. This is especially appropriate given other Californian Bungalows have been considered contributory within the existing precinct (for example 111 Warburton Road & 47 Maling Road). Please re-categorize these houses so they are not demolished due to a planning mishap, as what is considered in the application.

    Hi fellow local residents.

As a conveyor of a new local heritage advocacy group can I please suggest that if you believe this house is wrongly graded and should be Heritage protected that you without delay write directly to the Strategic Planning Department who are responsible for heritage and ask that they review the grading of this house and delay any demolition permits?
    The people to contact are:

    Christian Wilmsen
    David Cowan
    Scott Walker
    and the local councillor.

I don’t think anyone at council will be taking formal note of the comments on this site.

There seems to have been quite a few heritage overlay property inclusion stuff ups. Victorian era house next door to us not included for some reason. This Warburton Road property definitely contributes to the heritage overlay. How do we correct these mistakes Council?
