There have been FOUR boarding houses approved and built over looking a Primary school play ground in Manning street Kingswood, The council or our local State Member Stuart Ayres does not care. Stuart Ayres has not given any support to the residents who live around the 12 to 20 Boarding Houses that have been built, approved or under construction near Kingswood Primary school, Second Ave. Yes Enough is Enough.

I totally agree with Danielle Schwarzer enough is enough, we are the ones paying council rates so why isn't the council listening to & respecting the residents it's like they want to turn Kingswood & surround into another Mount Druitt... Council needs to start listening to the people not the developers...

The streets are beginning to feel even more unsafe as we walk about. Grown men yelling abuse at boarding house residents, residents yelling abuse back. Bottles and wrappers dumped by through traffic in once quiet streets. Garbage bins lining the streets outnumbering plants. Traffic and parking undermining community. Quality of life declining. All the inconveniences of the city, none of the benefits. I notice the designs of some closer to penrith do not face the street, have alley gardens and are kept immaculate. People are compassionate but Kingswood deserves better. Put some thought into approvals, not just compliance with poor planning rules. Demand more of developers. The local member is obviously overdue for ballot box retirement.

This is so wrong. Longtime residents are being forced to sell up and move, due to the crime and drugs coming into this area. Why should we have to leave our homes in our later years and start again in another area. We have worked hard to get our homes and gardens as we want them, instead of being able to enjoy the fruits of our labour we are being forced to leave. SHAME , SHAME ON PENRITH COUNCIL,

This plan to cram another 150 matchbox houses in this area is so so WRONG on the council's part. This area cannot support his kind of increased density, especially since all the nearby houses on this side of Great Western highway is being converted to high density dwellings. The traffic in this area is already dangerous to pedestrians and another 1000 people moving into this area will certainly increase this. THERE ARE NO PARKS within reasonable distance for the people already living in this Kingswood/Werrington area. Request council to mandate that all of this should be zoned for a public park. Or if dwellings cannot be avoided, request part to be zoned as a public park and part to be lower density dwellings.

I am extremely disappointed that this is even being considered by Penrith City Council, unfortunately I am not surprised. There are far too many boarding houses in Kingswood already but it doesnt seem to worry the council that the residents are feeling unsafe or wanting to move. I think that they are happy people are now selling and moving on as it gives the Council more options to build more and more boarding houses in the area. Residents of Kingswood are losing faith in the council as the plans they have are not taking the residents into consideration at all.
It is also disappointing that the Council put out to the community ways to improve Kingswood but none of these have been followed through with - they are actually going the completely opposite way. Residents of the community are working so hard to change the image and perception of the suburb but it seems the council want to continue to drag down the Kingswood name
