Hi there just a concerned citizen here wondering why we never received letters from the council about a development that has already gone ahead no one in the street was advised about this development it's brought more traffic to the street cars parking on wrong side of roads and the unit in question doesn't meet permit approvals.

    Unhappy Resident
    Concerning 23 Davidson Ave Woonona
Regarding this dwelling my concerns are
The traffic issues-the extra traffic it has caused as they park on the bend and the council median strip and my children use the lane way to go to school and its only a matter of time for something serious to happen.
The beautiful native trees have been removed and this unsightly dwelling is in their place , washing in the front yard for every one to see, electricity is coming from the heritage home which would be a shame if there was a fire .
I don’t know how this was approved and there is also a 14 foot fence made of tarp and bamboo connected to the existing fence.
How can council possibly let people erect such unsightly structures.

Regarding the extra dwelling at 23 Davidson Ave Woonona.
This dwelling has brought extra traffic to an already compromising corner of our street, with the extra cars parked/leaving and approaching on the wrong side of the road. The danger is real and needs to be addressed ASAP ( I have video footage to back these claims). The cars are sometimes parked on the council strip, which again shows there’s not enough room , when the cars are parked on the council strip, the foot traffic has to literally walk on the bend of the roadway to gain access to the alleyway. As for the extra dwelling out the front of the property, it is one that I’ve only seen in a caravan park and should be removed from our community, and relocated in an appropriate place.
I’d like to add, I’ve just received a notification of a proposed development, after the development has already taken place. Native trees removed after council denied being removed twice, to accommodate a structure that doesn’t belong in our community. ( again I have photos of trees being removed)
On this development application it states, threatening species development (no) obviously states no because all of the native trees have already removed, and there’s nothing left ,instead we have a hideous structure in there place ,which doesn’t seem to meet guidelines - being too close to the fences ,hence why there is a make shift clothesline in the front of the property.
We all have rules to follow...?

    Concerning 23 Davidson Ave Woonona.
1st issue I’d like to raise is- I live next door to this property and my concerns are the 14 foot fence made of tarp and bamboo that is connected to our existing fence. It is blocking out the sun from my property, my bedrooms are starting to go mouldy which I’m concerned about my daughter’s health and mine. My partner has contacted council regarding this fence but to no avail.
2nd Issue is- The comings and going’s of the extra vehicles at the property and visitors. The extra noise pollution example ( beeping of car horns and car alarms) I can see this is going to be a long term issue with the extra dwelling being there. This has been a real issue and will continue to be an issue , that’s why I thought that there was already a notice of intent to demolish and remove the structure in place .
3rd Issue is- the extra rubbish is going into other neighbours rubbish bins ,as it’s an illegal dwelling ,there is no bins.
I hope this dwelling is removed ..!

I absolutely agree with Williams statement regarding 23 Davidson Avenue Woonona. I often ride my bike through the alleyway next to the above address and have to regularly negotiate the cars on the bend and council strip,,,,It’s not safe.

  7. Concerned neighbour for the residents at 23 Davidson Ave commented

The homeowner at 23 Davidson Ave tried to have this corner zoned as a no parking area many years ago with no avail. They also believe parking in this corner is very dangerous.
I think it would be extremely beneficial for you to post the photos you have of the homeowners removing native trees illegally from their front yard. My recollection of this residents front yard, there was no natives removed. So it would be great to see these images. There were ferns in this homeowners front yard and they were moved to another location on the property.
It’s also my understanding that [Names and details removed by PlanningAelrts Admin] and should not be given any letter (notification of proposed development) from Council as either of you are NOT homeowners.
