    Please ensure this development is consonant with built heritage.

    As far as can be ascertained, the heritage rear wall and window of the original second bedroom are being removed. Also it seems as if the wooden flooring on the bottom level is being removed though the DA is not clear as to whether this is original fabric or not.

    The DA heritage report after the usual preliminary section about the history of the building proceeds to talks down the heritage as much as possible ie the obvious heritage features of the front rooms in the photos are not specifically noted except to talk about "steep stairs" although the author takes great pains to say that a top bedroom has "no significant features".

    If small aspects of the heritage fabric are shaved off these heritage listed buildings by successive owners then eventually the heritage is gone. Please have the Council heritage officer look at this to ensure compliance.
