The Council erred in allowing the construction of the 3 story complex at the corner of Belmore Rd and Balwyn Rd. Construction of another 3 story complex near that intersection will further the uglyfication of Boroondara.

Car parking requirements should be enforced rather than ignored by the ratepayers' employees at the Council.

I have been wholly unable to find any documentation whatsoever online regarding this proposed build and so can’t comment on the alleged three storey issue. I do though find it staggering that Council does not have plans available to for local residents’ viewing and this raises serious questions regarding the integrity of the entire building approval process in Boroondara - something local residents are all too aware of and are far too silent about! The only thing I know about the land is that it was sold, without inspection, to a ‘database contact’ in May 2020. If the owner/builder is seeking to build two, three storey townhouses, I object. It is not in line with the areas current character and no street around here needs another cheaply built ‘McMansion’ in it.
