Last year a dozen or so trees were removed from this street. It has effected the local bird life and the natural environment that attracts many to this side of Kareela. My concern is that it is making our houses hotter as well as the night birds decreasing in number. We used to have four types of owls calling of a night and it was glorious. I would just ask that council be diligent in replacing these trees along the vacant corridors that exist in the suburb. There are so many opportunities for council to reinvigorate the local flora and fauna. To date not one bit of Bush regeneration has occurred locally that I know of bar the local primary school, but the daily chainsaw massacre is deafening

Expect nothing from Sutherland Council & you won't be disappointed - the Councillors are not into preserving Trees or Wildlife it is all about $$$$ (Rates etc) - we have the opportunity to choose whom we want next Election time. Many of the Councillors have been there since Captain Cook arrived....same old same old !! ALP or LIB - time for fresh blood & people who want to preserve Wildlife, Bushland etc.
