I live behind the subject property, sharing the south eastern corner.
While I do not object to the improvements to the existing house I would ask that consideration be given to moving the proposed pool equipment area to somewhere away from the rear south eastern corner as the noise from a pool pump and equipment will be very detrimental to my enjoyment of my own home. You can see that my house is constructed close to the rear boundary of my land and the noise from a pool pump would be very noticeable and intrusive as it would be immediately adjacent and below my rear courtyard where I can sit and enjoy the northerly aspect. Two of the bedrooms are also located at the rear of my home and would be badly affected by any mechanical noise.
There are already issues from the swimming pool immediately behind my home at no 45 Beaumont Street, when the water level drops and the filter is running there is a lot of suction nose as air is drawn into the skimmer box and the pool pump at my other neighbour's home will wake the occupants in the rear bedrooms if left on at night or early morning.
