Backyard swimming pools are an environmental blight on the Oyster Bay landscape. If the pool consumes most of the backyard, it adds to the concrete footprint on the block of land which usually means all trees and vegetation are removed and the water absorption into the ground affects the ground water and the run off contributes to storm water pollution in the Georges river. We all suffer the consequences of this.

I agree 100% with Susan Gardiner's comment. I am a Resident of Oyster Bay for over 30yrs. The Trees are disappearing, houses demolished & large 2 story houses are covering a lot of the land. The Village feeling is definitely disappearing. Sadly, people are not friendly anymore...progress!
Oyster Bay is losing the pristine, peaceful suburb it used to be.
