I'm the former owner of a similar house, 589 Portrush Road Glenunga. It was built by a famous architect George Gavin Lawson in what's known as Cape Dutch style and bore a striking similarity to 1 Romalo Avenue. Another very similar house is 7 The Common, Beaumont, which is heritage listed. I just thought that this information may be of interest and maybe help to save this beautiful house which I am certain was built by the same architect. I would be most happy to provide additional documents

I agree with Dr Tsykin's comments. If this is an example of a unique residence and important to Adelaide's architectural history we cannot afford to lose it. Speaking as a local, houses like these are what makes our area special and I would not like to see it demolished.
