1. A ridiculous plan to construct a tower that is well out of alignment with the adjacent streetscape. And the non-supplying of off street parking for the tower’s residents is appalling.

   I suppose they just clog the nearby streets? Or park in the strip out the front and reduce the amenity for those visiting the other retailers.

2. I agree with Stu's comments, in particular there should be no waiving of standard parking requirements in view of the current available parking in the area.

3. No waiving of parking. This is a commercial area for local shops, not for residential towers with insufficient parking. Dorado Avenue already takes the overflow of parking from this area. We need more local shops here, not apartments.

4. Council must not waive its own parking requirements, as requested by this Applicant.

   Any such waiver risks setting a dangerous planning precedent for the Bellevue Shopping Centre and its environs.

   Indeed, such a waiver is inconsistent with Council's own Bellevue Shopping Centre improvement plan, which is now finalised for delivery as part of the North East Link's litigation settlement whereby Council will receive $500,000 for this purpose:
