    Don't you think there is enough of these in this area, I moved in nearly 6 years ago and I am thinking I now wished I didnt and thinking of selling...cannot you start at another area before you totally spoil the close by areas because this is what you are doing...all these decisions are made by people who don't live in these areas and don't give a dame about the people that do...why not start building these places in your areas...I am 69/70 and I really do think there is ENOUGH IN ONE AREA...GO ELSE WHERE...

    I agree with the previous comments, this area has too many units already, particularly considering there's meant to be another 131 units built, four stories high, almost right next door. Not to mention karalta rd can not handle the amount of vehicle traffic this amount of units would potentially create.

    Erina is over crowded now. No way can Karalta Road or even The Entrance Road. Too much traffic now on Karalta Rd. It was always meant to handle low traffic Also Stop destroying the local bushland.
    People move here for the nature then it is al destroyed because council and some fatcat wants to be richer. No benefit for the local community at all.!

    When my wife and I decided to retire to beautiful Central Coast and start living the ‘Dream’ in beautiful Erina, we were filled with ‘Great Expectations’. To get away from the hustle and bustle of Narellan where densely built houses, traffic congestion and human congestion seemed to have taken over the once quiet town. To quote on of our most famous bards;

    ‘...and gritty of the dusty, dirty city’.

    Oh yes, to enjoy a coastal lifestyle where traffic is a constant but easy pace and the scattered ‘retirement villages’ seem to blend in rather well. An easy drive to Terrigal Beach is an easy option on quiet days. This is the life we hoped for and expected.

    Apparently the Dream was quickly turned into reality when we informed of a proposed planed lodged with council to build a 7 storey, four buildings on Karalta Road to accomodate zillion units.

    Now Gosford council is asking for objections to the proposed dwellings. Now what do the council expect the public response would be. Yes! indeed bulldoze Mother Nature’s beautiful acreage, chainsaw all the trees in the area and while you are busy doing all that let us see what you can do with a thousand cubic metres of concrete, thousands of metres ribbed steel rods, countless square metres of glass and so on the lottery goes on. Yes it is a lottery because there is always an ugly surprise that rears its ugly head.

    The reality is readers, is that this monstrosity will be built and guess what, there is another nice, big, fat, juicy portion of land just behind the proposed glassed superstructure. What chance do we have to stop it! Absolutely ziltch.

    Yes, yes, utterances in deep corridors and narrow kitchens can be heard to the tune of ‘we need to go forward’ and ‘it is what it is’ and the eternal plaintive cry of ‘Well, what can we do?’

    Well readers look up the plan and/or go and visit the council. Visualise another 100 cars driving out of that proposed road and it will be WELCOME TO THE FUTRE.

    ‘... With their eager eyes and greedy, and their stunted forms and weedy,’
