This would be the third boarding house in Edward street, with four boarding already built or approved in Manning street, all within 150 meters. Penrith DCP 2014 Part D5, Location. Boarding Houses shall not be located in cul-de-sac. Edward street is a cul-de-sac, (dead end) But the Council has already approved two boarding houses in this cul-de-sac. Is it one rule for developers, forget the residents.

I've been told that it's "PROGRESS" Wendy but we all know that it's nothing but GREED! 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤑🤑🤑

It’s not progress it’s GREED & Penrith Council should be able to stand up & say NO more boarding houses in this area of KINGSWOOD.. Take them somewhere where there is vacant land & get the developers to establish boarding houses there .There is absolutely NO need for any more in Kingswood .With these buildings neighbourhood residents loose the their privacy , peace ,& security with this horrid buildings .Penrith Council you need to show respect to all the long time residents that have supported this Penrith area .Developers don’t give hoot about our area it’s just a $$$$ making concern .

Another one. Is Kingswood the only place that boarding houses can be built? We have had so many issues with one in our area that my children or family do not feel safe anymore. I understand that they are needed but go to another area, build them in a new estate. Is it all about $$$$$$? Thank you Penrith City Council for putting your residents first.

Enough is enough we have more than enough boarding houses in Manning St, Edward St, Second Avenue, plus the proposed application for more in Edith Street We do not need any more in Edward Street. Long time residents are having their privacy taken away by placing these buildings so close to boundaries. The parking situation will worsen, traffic increased. It’s time that families that have lived here for decades are listened to and our needs put before the greed of developers.

All who object to the saturation of this part of Kingswood with further boarding house over development should attend the Penrith local planning panel meeting on Wednesday 28 October 2020, ONLINE at 3.00pm. All points against this development can be outlined in person to supplement previous written objections.
