Here we go again! Yet another application with a 'reduction in car parking requirement and waiver of loading bay requirements'.

When will council accept that this is totally unconscionable behaviour on the part of developers whose singular motivation is to make as much profit as possible in the short term, with no interest whatsoever in the long term undesirable effects on the constituent ratepayers. Fact: Everyone drives cars, every delivery is via car or truck! Where are they all going to fit?

I agree with above, its a neighbourhood centre and this starts a precedent as there is a 3 storey already and now the application is a 4 storey Please stop the creeping heights in a designated " neighbourhood centre"
    !

Agree with all the very articulate outlines above. I will however say I suspect it may be state planning issue that is the problem. Perhaps if every developer had to fork out 20k or a Significant percentage of the build cost each time they changed the original approved plan then what may appears to The lay person as deceptive behaviour may change. Currently no incentive on the developer to deliver anything remotely along the lines of the original plan and yet we the residents are asked to accept it or pay To ,appeal. Where are the values and rules on streetscape, livabiility and what justification other than I don’t want to do it by the developer is ever put forward. Sadly residents impacted and developers move on.

Totally agree as well to put a stop to these excessive development as there are far too many already,
Definitely no reduction in car parking requirements as already at premium and no waiver for loading bay requirements.
