Prune one (1) Tallowwood on rear, southern boundary. In 2011 the removal of this tree was refused, over the past 9 years the tree has been pruned regularly and had deadwood removed. During this time it has also lost many branches, often falling on the roof and into the neighbour’s yard. It is still losing large limbs, buttress roots are forming, and the pavers are being lifted, causing a trip hazard. The trunk is pushing on the boundary wall causing it to crack. The canopy overhangs two neighbouring properties, to prune this tree away from both properties would require a significant amount to be removed, leaving the tree as a poor specimen. While the damage is minor, and it may be possible to repair the boundary wall, this would only temporarily fix the issue as the tree has the potential to reach massive proportions. As the tree grows, the canopy will spread further over the two neighbouring properties, the woody roots will continue to expand, further damaging and lifting the neighbouring wall. This tree presents an unacceptable level of risk of damage to both properties. The only practical and cost-effective way of abating the current damage and preventing further damage is to order the removal of the tree.
