    While it is good to see urban renewal and with National Tree Day coming up (2nd August), can the owners preserve the shade trees as part of this knock-down-granny-flat-build? Us residents at your back would greatly appreciate the trees being retained for shade on our long-hot summer days on our coastal sand plain heat sink.
    The Peninsula lost too many mature trees over recent years from in-fill development, so any chance to work around to keep or prune an established tree would enhance the house and add value to the owners and local residents.
