Is not enough that 53 Bon Accord and the other 3 terraces 47,49 & 51 BA) have already removed 48 trees? OMG 48 trees GONE! Please NO. PLEASE NO!!!
The immediate impact of the removal of the other 48 trees from 47-53 Bon Accord Ave has resulted in possums (and other native wildlife) finding refuge in neighbouring property's garage doors and roof spaces because natural shelters were abruptly removed.( I suspect more trees were destroyed than were on the original application!!!).... replaced with small ornamental non native trees.
Possums are being trapped and squashed and ARE dying cruelly in the mechanics of automated garage doors trying to find shelter.
The renos to the 4 houses may be sympathetic to the streetscape - but the removal of yet anther Morton Bay Fig is outrageous. Just 2 Morton Bay Figs left out of the 5 ....please refuse this application....please!!! We must retain some heritage and honour what has stood in time before us!
Why is Waverley Council allowing so many trees to be removed?
I find it absolutely and completely outrageous that every week over half these notifications are to unjustifiably to destroy trees - this has to STOP!!!
